Salt Pepper Ketchup (SPK) is a biweekly podcast from two D.C. Natives Angel and Zoha. The two met in their 20s and have formed friendship that allowed them to grow and witness each other. In this friendship space they have open, honest and reflective weekly conversations about healing; which became the foundation for this show. During each show the two discuss various healing dynamics and sometimes they invite a guest to join them. This sharing reveals the unique experience of exploring relationships, family issues, love and more from the lived experiences of being both Black and woman.
Angel Brown is a native Washington. For the last 20 years, she has dedicated her life to supporting youth through various roles in local community spaces and national positions in LGBTQIA education and advocacy. Angel has been on her personal healing journey for some time, she shares her journey through addiction and therapy as a way to assist other women in their healing. She remains a resident of Washington, DC, has a forthcoming book and is a cat mom.
Zoha Harpe is a burgeoning writer, poet, and self taught artist native to Southeast Washington D.C. She began her healing journey as a displaced teen navigating DC's juvenile justice system. During her 20 year career in social services , Zoha has served her community as a Health Education Specialist, Youth Advocate and Community organizer. She has written and self published 4 poetry books and two self help books. Zoha is also a Certified Yoga Instructor, Jewelry Designer, Reiki Practitioner and a married mother of 3. She resides with her partner in the DC metro area.
